And you say tablets would never replace PCs, how wrong you have been sir. One of the well known and most used software on PCs and Macs, is coming to Android tablets and the iPad, and it’s called Photoshop. Don’t get it twisted, Photoshop for tablets won’t be as powerful as its desktop counterparts, however, the basics and a few advance options are there.
Photoshop Touch will be optimized for Android tablets and the iPad. We are guessing this means that the application will take advantage of the dual core processors available, which would be a bloody good thing. At the moment, there is no mention of Windows 8 tablets, but as the time comes around for the launch of the first Windows 8 based tablet device, we believe Adobe will make an announcement. Don’t be surprised if the full version of Photoshop is currently being optimized for touch interfaces, ready and waiting to jump on the Windows 8 choo choo train.
Release date for Photoshop Touch varies, Android will get it next month at the cool price of $9.99, while iPad users will have to wait until early 2012, sorry boys.
