HTC Exec Believes Windows Phone Will Give Android A Run For Its Dough

HTC, one, one of the largest and most known Android developer, came out in support for Windows Phone after the launch of Mango, the biggest and best update for the platform.

According to Melvin Chua, an executive from HTC, Windows Phone possesses the balls of steel needed to take on Android, and ultimately kick its ass. However, we were very much caught off guard when he states that 30 percent of HTC’s overall hardware sales came from Windows Phone devices. We had no idea HTC were doing so well, since overall sales of all Windows Phone devices are below average. This can only mean that apart from HTC and Samsung, other manufacturers are not doing so well.

It’s good to see Windows Phone getting the support it needs. It would be a shame if the platform hit the gutter like webOS, a real shame that would be indeed.
