Microsoft Convinced LG To Enter A Patent Deal For Android And Chrome OS Devices

Microsoft is playing dirty and it seems to be working out just fine. The latest victim in Microsoft ongoing onslaught against Android is LG, the company agreed to a patent deal with the big bad boss from Redmond for Chrome OS and Android. With LG falling by the wayside, who else is left?

We do not have the specifics on this deal so it is difficult to tell how much LG will end up paying for each Android and Chrome OS devices sold. However, one thing is for certain, there is no slowing down Microsoft once the company is ahead and winning. We also understand that over 70 percent of Android devices old in the United States are covered by Microsoft patent agreements, which means that Microsoft cashing in big time on Google’s success.

Barnes & Noble and Motorola Mobility are the few who chose to stand up to Microsoft in court instead of bowing out, time will tell if that is a good idea. If it is, all the other companies that succumbed to the pressure would be free, and that is something Microsoft does not want.
