Whereas most of the carriers are busy with the launch activities of the newest BlackBerry 7 smartphones, which were recently unveiled by Research In Motion (RIM), MTS thought of taking the highway and working on something else. The mobile phone carrier released a white version of the BlackBerry Torch 9800, which suddenly caught eyes of many looking forward on buying a new handset from the bunch of the BlackBerry 7 smartphones, released.

The white version was immediately made available for purchase at regional carrier MTS at an attracted price for as low as $99.99, upon signing a new three year contract. On the other hand, the carrier added a note to it, that it is also planning to drop the price of the same handset to $49.99, next week, in order to offer a better deal.

Other pricing options include, the Torch 9800 with a price tag of $249.99 with a new two year plan or $474.99 with a new one-year agreement. For those not looking forward on going for long-term contracts are entitled to pay $629.99 as the purchase price for the white version.
