RIM Turned Down Talks With Amazon About A Takeover

Well, ladies and gentlemen, everything in the dark is coming into the light, Research In Motion and its BlackBerry line of devices is truly on the deathbed waiting to be gobbled up.  According to Reuters, Amazon was in talks with RIM for takeover purposes but was turned down by the BlackBerry maker; we now wonder who else might have approached RIM with these dirty ideas.

It is unclear what will happen to RIM in the near future, but as it stands now, the company is not interested in a joint venture or an acquisition. At the moment, RIM prefers the idea of licensing its software to hardware vendors such as Samsung and HTC, however, we doubt this would happen since the BlackBerry momentum is slowly dwindling year over year and the platform has no ecosystem to speak of. The only solid move we see here is to sell to the highest bidder while the company still possesses some form of relevancy before it becomes another Yahoo!

Another suggestion is this, fire the leaders and get some fresh heads and ideas up there, you never know until you try. Anyway, we bid good luck to RIM, lord knows the company and all the stuffy nose investors will need it come 2012 for they will be seriously RIMmed….get it? RIMmed? Nevermind, assholes.
