Apple Prepping A Prepaid iPhone For The Low-end Market

Reports are coming in that Apple is planning to compete at the lower end of the smartphone market with a $350 priced prepaid iPhone. We could understand why Apple would want to enter the low end section of the market, doing so would put Apple in a better position to compete with the many different Android devices, that threatens the iPhone’s continued dominance.

This piece of news is coming from the BoyGeniusReport so-called “reliable source”, so we would recommend taking everything with a tiny pinch of salt along with a tip of lime of juice. Anyhow, the source went on to mention that the $350 iPhone could very well be the iPhone 3GS, so instead of launching a new device to cause havoc on the lower end of the market, Apple could use its older device instead.

On other matters, the next iPhone which could be the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, will be completely redesigned. This is in conjunction to previous rumors that put the pegged the next iPhone to launch with a 4 inch screen and smaller bezel. The source also mentioned that the next iPhone could see a September 2011 launch along with the announcement of another iPad.

Currently, everything you read here are all rumors. But with competition being stiffer than ever, Apple could very well rock the tech world in September and leave everyone in its dust once more. And with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango coming out around that time-frame, hot damn, shit’s gonna be crazy.
