Apple Ditches Samsung For TSMC, Samsung Mourns $7Billion Per Year Loss

As expected, Samsung will no longer produce chips for Apple, this is likely to do with the with lawsuits both company have been throwing at each other for quite a while now. With Samsung out of the picture, Apple will soon rely on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for future iPhone and iPad chipsets.
We understand that TSMC will most likely begin to supply Apple with chips as early as next year. The company plans on using its 20nm and 28nm chip technology to beef up Apple demands, though it is not yet known how reliable these chips will be when compared to Samsung’s world class manufacturing. This move by Apple could break or make the next iPhone and iPad devices, however, we suspect Apple wouldn’t make this move so early on if the company was not sure of its prospects in the future.
The company expected to feel the true blunt of this move by Apple, is Samsung. Why is that you wonder? Samsung gets over $7 Billion yearly from Apple, that is a lot of profit to lose. To make up for this, Samsung would have to flood the market with Android and Bada phones. Time will tell if everything will work out just fine for both Apple and Samsung, however, we will be here to report the juicy details as it happens.
