Apple Officially Announced The iPhone 4S, No iPhone 5

We’re late, yes we know that, but better late than never, correct? So, today Apple unveiled the ever so anticipated iPhone 4S, a device that looks the same as the current iPhone 4, but with better interiors. The iPhone 4S is Apple’s third iPhone launch for the year, before this Apple launched the iPhone 4, and the CDMA compatible iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless, so one has to wonder what Apple has planned for 2012.

While the iPhone 4S looks just the same as the iPhone 4, what matters most is what is on the inside. As the saying goes, do not judge a book by its cover, and we strongly recommend you to take heed with those simple little words. When it comes to specifications, the iPhone 4S is trailing behind devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation, however, the specs Apple brought to the table is more than adequate to meet your needs. On the inside, Apple’s next money grabber is sporting a dual core 1GHz A5 cpu, dual core GPU which is 7x more powerful than the GPU found in the iPhone 4, sweet.

Disappointingly for the iPhone 4S, the screen-size is still the same, this means many Apple fanboys who are fed up of the small display might switch allegiances to the likes of Android or Windows Phon.e 7.5. ?Apart from all that, the new device also features up to 64GB of internal storage, a move every iPhone fan should applaud Apple for doing.

Finally, the iPhone 4S comes with both GSM HSPA+ and CDMA EV-DO Rev A, which makes this little demon a phone fit to be used anywhere. In terms of pricing and release, the 16GB will cost $199, $299 for the 32GB, and $399 for the 64GB. All versions are set for an October 14th release.
