Firefox For Tablets First Look

Good news for those who care. The most feature rich and powerful web browser is making its way to a tablet near you, and it is looking damn fine. The design is not exactly unique, but Mozilla managed to keep it looking different enough so you can tell that this is Firefox.

From the screenshot above, you will notice a clean cut minimalist user interface, the tabs are on the left in a persistent thumbnail bar, and there will be support for portrait and landscape mode. At the moment, these screenshots are not truly what screenshots, but mock-ups of what Mozilla expects the finished product to look like.

Given how long it took them to get Firefox Mobile to Android, potential users might be in for a similar wait, let’s hope that is not the case. Whenever Firefox for tablets is released, the first platform will be Android as you would expect, no idea where it will go from there.
