Google Publishes Android Ice Cream Sandwich Developer Guidelines

Finally Google seems to be taking Android’s fragmentation a little bit seriously. Today Google introduced some application design guidelines for Ice Cream Sandwich, Google is hoping that developers and hardware manufactures alike would follow these guidelines to ensure a more consistent user experience.
Don’t get your hopes up so fast fanboys, according to Google, the company does not plan on enforcing these rules which is a complete shame. Since these guidelines are optional to developers, Google may want to come up with a good reason apart from consistency if it wants developers to come on board the choo-choo train.
Information will be made available on the Android website in dew time, keep an eye out for that.
