Skype For Windows Phone Coming Soon

Microsoft bought Skype back in 2011 and up to this day, there’s no Skype application for Windows Phone while almost every other platform is benefiting, not good. Joe Belfiore stated at MIX 2011 that Skype would be out before 2012, it’s now 2012 and no Skype can be found on the Marketplace. Good news however, a guy called Rob from the Microsoft Social Media Marketing Team at CES, mentioned that Skype will be out for Windows Phone soon.

How soon? We have no idea, but we can almost bet our last dollar that something will be mentioned at the Mobile World Conference next month. He also said that while an app is coming, full Skype integration with Windows Phone would bare fruit in the Windows Phone “Apollo” update, more popularly known as Windows Phone 8.
