Nokia 500 Officially Unveiled, Powered With Symbian Anna Operating System

Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, has just announced on the official launch of the Nokia 500 which comes powered with the Symbian Anna Operating System, while expected to arrive on shelves in Q3 of 2011. With the launch, Nokia 500 becomes the very first 1GHz powered smartphone to enter the handset manufacturer’s wide range of smartphones.

Previously leaked as Nokia Fate, the smartphone comes powered with a single core 1GHz processor, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, sporting a 640 x 360 pixels resolution. Apart from these features, the smartphone also packs in a 5-megapixel camera on the back which has the ability to capture video and tagged as an ideal one to capture snapshots in daylight. The phone packs in 2 GB of internal memory while also offering a microSD card slot to increase memory space up to 32 GB.

The Symbian Anna OS over Nokia 500 offers users a brand new look for the User Interface while promising a better browser and split screen messaging.

Moreover, the Nokia 500 features an unbeatable music player which is complemented by an FM radio receiver and Internet Radio access to music and other stuff.

The phone also offers a wide variety of features to offer itself as a complete Social networking phone.

Currently the phone would be available in black and white while three new colors will be available soon, including purple, azure blue, pink, coral red, orange and dark silver.
