Eee Pad Transformer Honeycomb Live In US, Coming To Europe/UK In August
Good news, folks. As of earlier today, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Honeycomb update is now live! Well…in the United States, anyway. Those of you who live in Europe and the United Kingdom are going to have to wait a bit longer, I’m afraid.
Not that much longer, thankfully. According to a Facebook post on the Asus UK page, UK owners can expect to receive the update on August 2. Meanwhile, Germany will be receiving Honeycomb on August 5th. Apparently Asus is getting this update before quite a few other OEMs- there are a lot of European XOOM owners who haven’t even received the Android 3.1 update! Is Europe just a neglected market for tablets, or something?
I suppose that’s neither here nor there.
Honeycomb will come with all the features I detailed in my post earlier today, and…that’s about it. From the looks of it, Netflix support might not be coming to the Transformer just yet- which is a damn shame for a lot of people. I suppose it’s still too early to say- support may very well be released once the update’s finally hit the other two markets.
