LG X3 First Quad Core Android Smartphone To Launch?

Google Publishes Android Ice Cream Sandwich Developer Guidelines

Finally Google seems to be taking Android’s fragmentation a little bit seriously. Today Google introduced some application design guidelines for Ice Cream Sandwich, Google is hoping that developers and hardware manufactures alike would follow these guidelines to ensure a more consistent user experience.

Asus MeMo, First 7-inch Android 4.0 Tablet

Sony: Tablet S And Tablet P Bound For ICS Update In 2012

Sony is showing itself to be supportive by announcing that it will update the first two tablets from the company to Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich. Not only that, but every Xperia named smartphones released in 2011 will also get the update, how awesome is that? Unlike other companies, Sony is not out to force consumers to upgrade to new hardware to get the best of what Android has to offer.

Samsung Galaxy S and Tab Won’t Be Getting ICS

It appears the Samsung Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab in the eyes of Sammy Boy. According to the company, the Galaxy S and the 7-inch Galaxy Tab will not be updated to Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich due to memory constraints and some other none important technical dialect. While Samsung is unable to update your device beloved, you can always take the route of rooting and getting it yourself via XDA.

Video: Ice Cream Sandwich Caught Running On The HTC G1

Hey, who here remembers the HTC G1? You know, the very first Android smartphone to show its ugly head to the world. Well, guess what? The old timer has been caught on tape running the newest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, or Android 4.0 for shorts and slippers. While everything is not all red roses, it is surprising to us to see old dog learning new tricks, never an easy task for the trainer.

Video: ICS Face Unlocking Tool Hands On

Ice Cream Sandwich is turning out to be the best version of Android yet, and we are highly excited to get our hands on this bad boy for a test run. There’s another video demo of ICS on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, this time it shows off the face unlock capabilities of the OS; it’s cool, but nothing that would be worth using after the hype has waded.
