An Apple iPhone 4S without a camera, never thought we would live to see a day like this. The only country you will find an iPhone 4S like this is in Singapore, better get your credit cards out and ready to import this runt of the iPhone family.
This comes at no surprise, the Apple iPhone 4S is the best selling smartphone on the 3 top carriers in the US, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S II. Analysts from the Canacord Genuity group came out gunning with this information on Monday, and although everything is as expected, we still find it exciting to know for sure who is on top in the world of smartphones and tablets.
With Samsung out of the picture, LG seems to be the one that will be manufacturing displays for the iPhone 5 and future versions of the iPad. What caught our eyes, however, is the talks about an iPad devices with a 7.35 display; if it is real, then by all means Apple might just be ready to stretch its legs a little bit. Steve Jobs is no longer with us, but his biography kind of makes it feels like the man is still around with his heart and soul set on the warpath with Android. According to Steve’s biography, the great man was royally pissed off, his was determined as hell to put an end to Android, to the point where he pledged “thermonuclear war” on the platform.
The Apple iPhone 4S is doing pretty well for itself, already surpassing over 1 million pre-orders. Anyway, a video of the device escaped over the great wall of China with some Benchmark goodies, and something new regarding “Siri”. The little over a minute video with no sound, shows what the A5 dual core processor is capable of, along with the GPU which is said to be 7x faster than the one found in the iPhone 4.
We’ve seen the Nexus Prime teaser video, you know, that footage which failed to show anything of significance apart from the few seconds of last minute glimpse of the device. Well, the specs of the Prime has been leaked and all we can say is, the iPhone 4S is in for some serious competition when this bad boy takes to the streets.
Perfect timing or what? Apple’s iPhone 4S was unveiled yesterday, but the views have been mixed. The iPhone 4S is Apple’s third iPhone launch for the year, before this Apple launched the iPhone 4, and the CDMA compatible iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless, so one has to wonder what Apple has planned for 2012.
Reports are coming in that Apple is planning to compete at the lower end of the smartphone market with a $350 priced prepaid iPhone. We could understand why Apple would want to enter the low end section of the market, doing so would put Apple in a better position to compete with the many different Android devices, that threatens the iPhone’s continued dominance.
