Future Smartphones From Samsung And Apple Could Be HzO Waterproof

We’ve seen Liquipel, a sort of coating that makes your phone waterproof, now here is something similar called HzO that appears to use similar technology to get the job done by the looks of things. The company behind HzO, ZAGG, have spoken to Samsung and are planning to have words with Apple on incorporating HzO in future devices.

Samsung Merged Its Bada Effort With Intel’s Tizen

Something interesting is happening, Samsung is merging its Bada OS effort with Tizen, the open source platform that gobbled up MeeGo after Nokia ditched it for Windows Phone. We’re guessing Samsung figured it couldn’t go it alone so help was needed, and rightfully so because Bada was going nowhere but down hill.

If this rumored press shot turns out to be legit, then gaddamnit I might have to swallow my pride and dub Samsung as the best handset manufacturer, period. The overall design of the said to be Samsung Galaxy S III is exquisite to say the least, not mention that beautifully sexy looking display that just stands out with gorgeous colors, porn would look perfect on this.

Samsung Galaxy S and Tab Won’t Be Getting ICS

It appears the Samsung Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab in the eyes of Sammy Boy. According to the company, the Galaxy S and the 7-inch Galaxy Tab will not be updated to Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich due to memory constraints and some other none important technical dialect. While Samsung is unable to update your device beloved, you can always take the route of rooting and getting it yourself via XDA.

Watch Out, Microsoft And Nokia Planned Joint Bid For RIM

We reported earlier that Amazon was in failed talks with RIM for a takeover, but who would have guessed that Microsoft and Nokia were both playing around with the idea of a joint venture to eat up the Canadian giant. Of course, just like what RIM did with Amazon, Microsoft and Nokia’s joint venture was turned down or probably put on hold just in case licensing talks with Samsung and HTC hits the gutter.

RIM Turned Down Talks With Amazon About A Takeover

Well, ladies and gentlemen, everything in the dark is coming into the light, Research In Motion and its BlackBerry line of devices is truly on the deathbed waiting to be gobbled up.  According to Reuters, Amazon was in talks with RIM for takeover purposes but was turned down by the BlackBerry maker; we now wonder who else might have approached RIM with these dirty ideas.

Apple Acquired Flash Memory Manufacturer Anobit, Samsung Weeps

It has been confirmed that Apple acquired a company based in Israel, which goes by the name, Anobit, for $500 million. This company specializes in manufacturing Flash Memory on the cheap and at a quick pace, which is exactly what Apple needs to keep up with the ever-growing demands for its iDevices.

Video: ICS Face Unlocking Tool Hands On

Ice Cream Sandwich is turning out to be the best version of Android yet, and we are highly excited to get our hands on this bad boy for a test run. There’s another video demo of ICS on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, this time it shows off the face unlock capabilities of the OS; it’s cool, but nothing that would be worth using after the hype has waded.
