Minecraft Pocket Edition Now Available For $6.66 In The Android Market

Fans of Minecraft, your prayers have been answered. Minecraft for Android gizmos is now available in the Android Market, the game that became a hit on the PC with 3 million copies sold, is out to mimic that success on Android devices. Minecraft was first available on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play exclusively, mainly because the developers needed more time to iron issues with other handsets.

Sony Ericsson CEO: Windows Phone Is Not As Good As Android

Sony Ericsson CEO, Bert Nordberg, claimed that he is quite curious about Windows Phone, yet, he believes the platform is not better than Android. Right then and there we have to disagree with Mr Nordberg, and come out with fighting words to prove him wrong. I mean, to think even though Sony Ericsson is using Android, yet the company finds it difficult to hit the golden years again.

Starting August 12, Pre-Order Xperia Ray SO-03C Via NTT DoCoMo

Starting August 12, Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo will take pre-orders of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray So-03C smartphone. Whereas little has been revealed regarding the price, the carrier announced on the Xperia Ray’s availability in three stylish colors, pink, gold and white, with actual availability at DoCoMo shops on August 27.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Going For $99 At Verizon Wireless

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first certified PS Suite compatible smartphone, but not even the PlayStation branding can save the device from imminent death. We already heard rumors that the handset wasn’t doing very well, but seeing now as Verizon is selling the damn thing for $99.99, there is no doubt it is a flop.

Australia’s favorite cellular service, Telstra, is reportedly voiced for the launch of a new Android-based handset from Sony Ericsson tagged as Xperia Neo which is heard on making an appearance on the shelves starting July 26th. The wireless carrier is also voiced on making the device available for purchase for $0 on their $59 Freedom Connect Plan.

Sony Ericsson’s flagship Xperia Arc smartphone has slipped onto their US store at $599.99. Oddly enough, Sony doesn’t mention a carrier- directly, anyway. Their specs list includes a very, very subtle nod to at least one of their compatible carriers.

Sony Ericsson Introduces Two New Handsets, Mix Walkman and txt pro

Sony Ericsson Mix WalkmanSony Ericsson made an official appearance for two new mobile phones at a worldwide competition which tagged in special participation for Facebook followers, namely the Mix Walkman and the txt pro. According to the handset manufacturer, the ‘Mix Walkman’ is capable of providing users with a great entertainment experience whereas the ‘txt pro’ would offer social networking features courtesy of a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
