Windows 8 Tablets With Intel Inside To Be Expensive

If what is being reported is true, Microsoft is in for a hell of a fight this year to compete with its Windows 8 tablet offerings. We are hearing that future Windows 8 tablets with Intel inside pricing will be more expensive than the iPad and Android tablets, the pricing is expected to start from $599 to $899. This is in part due to Microsoft and Intel unwillingness to adjust cost for suppliers, this could open the door wide open for ARM to gain footing.

Acer Committed To Tablets Despite Disappointing Sales In 2011

Despite the slow adoption of Acer branded tablets and tablets in general that are not iPads, Acer is committed to stick it out and launch new tablets in 2012. Honestly though, the tablet market is very lucrative if you can get it right, Acer doesn’t have a choice but to soldier it through these difficult times or else risk being left behind.

CES 2012: Nokia Is On The Prowl

The year 2011 turned out to be a bad year for Nokia, the company lost its spot at the top of the smartphone food chain to Apple and Samsung while struggling to catch up with its first set of Windows Phone devices, the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. However, 2012 could be the year the old dog rises from its slumber starting with a huge CES presence.

2012, The Year Nokia Enters The Tablet Space With Windows 8

Nokia’s relationship with Microsoft appears as if it will go well beyond Windows Phone and into the realm of Windows 8. According to Paul Amsellem, head of Nokia France, the first Nokia tablet with Windows 8 is gearing towards a June 2012 launch. This wouldn’t be the first time Nokia jumped into Windows stream, the company first did so back in 2009 with the release of the Nokia Booklet 3G which went on to become a major flop despite it being a good product.

Hurrah, Amazon is ready to kick some serious ass with its tablet efforts. For the first time, it appears Apple is in for some real competition, and if Amazon can pull it off, Android might just get the boost it needs to compete with iOS in the tablet market.

Windows 8 vs iPad 2, The Ultimate Showdown Begins

The folks at WinRumors got their snuffy little fingers on a Windows 8 tablet, and with that, they compared it to the Apple iPad 2 on video. From the video, you can clearly tell how much work Microsoft has put into Windows 8, it is officially the most unique operating system known to man. The Live Tiles feature from Windows Phone 7 made its way to Windows 8 with a higher level of customization and more features, we dig.

NVIDIA: Windows Phone 7 Apps Will Work On Windows 8

Here is something many of you and myself will enjoy. According to Jen Hsung Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, Windows 8 tablets will be able to run Windows Phone 7 applications no problem. If this has any truth to it, then it could considerably bolster Microsoft efforts in competing with Google and Apple in the tablet department.

Analyst Predicts The Apple iPad Domination To Continue.

The analysts are back at predicting the outcome of the tablet PC market once more, this time as usual, they say what we all already knew from the outset. According to Stacy Rasgon, an analyst from Sanford Berstein. The Apple iPad will continue to dominate the market, while taking small shares from the PC. If you think about it, no one needs to be an analyst to predict that, but hey, a job is a job, even if it makes little sense.
