Review: SkyDrive App For Windows Phone

The official SkyDrive application for Windows Phone is here, and from my days of using this thing I have to say that I am impressed, and a little disappointed all at the same time. The app is pretty smooth when navigating around, the only time I came across any form of jittering is when the app is loading document and picture thumbnails, and to me that is understandable and not a deal breaker.

2012, The Year Nokia Enters The Tablet Space With Windows 8

Nokia’s relationship with Microsoft appears as if it will go well beyond Windows Phone and into the realm of Windows 8. According to Paul Amsellem, head of Nokia France, the first Nokia tablet with Windows 8 is gearing towards a June 2012 launch. This wouldn’t be the first time Nokia jumped into Windows stream, the company first did so back in 2009 with the release of the Nokia Booklet 3G which went on to become a major flop despite it being a good product.

Board Of Directors Cut Steve Ballmer’s Bonus In Half Due To Windows Phone Low Sales

Steve Ballmer is not a happy man today folks. With the slow or better yet, nonexistence sales of Windows Phone, Ballmer is only entitled to half of his bonus pay. In a good year, Ballmer would have gotten a 200% bonus of his regular pay, however, this year, he will have to settle with 100% which isn’t considerably a bad thing. On the flip side, we believe this is showing what is going on inside Microsoft, Ballmer is slowly losing his grip and desperately needs to get Windows Phone off to a flying start next year.

Confirmed: Microsoft Bought Skype For $8.5 Billion

Just as we reported last night, Microsoft dug in deep and bought Skype for a massive $8.5 billion, that is more than doubling the cost eBay sold it for back in 2009, it goes to show how important this acquisition was and Microsoft determination to keep Skype away from Google.

Microsoft: Phones With Unofficial Updates Won’t Be Able To Receive Future Updates

If you were one of the users who simply got tired of waiting for the official release of the update for your Windows Phone 7, then you might have chosen to surf the internet, download the update, and install it onto your device. Unofficially.

If you did this then you’re out of luck. In a blog post, Microsoft says that you won’t be able to receive future updates, all because you installed the unofficial one on your phone.
