Another Nokia Windows Phone Handset, The Lumia 710

While much of the fanfare is centered around the Nokia Lumia 800, it is not the only Windows Phone handset to be announced at Nokia World 2011. Sitting cozily on the wayside is the Nokia Lumia 710, another great looking Windows Phone handset from Nokia. Compared to the Lumia 800, it is cheaper, comes with a smaller display and less impressive camera, but that doesn’t stop it from making an impression.
Because the Nokia Lumia 710 is targeting the midrange to low end of the smartphone market, it lacks that sexy design we come to know and love with the Lumia 800 and Nokia N9. However, you shouldn’t let its simplistic appearance fool you, because this little thing is packing a 1.4GHz single core processor, 512MB RAM, 5MP camera, and an AMOLED 3.7 inch Clear Black display. Not only that, but we are understanding that the front and back cover can be replaced, something we are not seeing very often anymore. The big downside is the lacking of a front facing camera, same can be said for the Lumia 800.
If you are interested in picking up the Nokia Lumia 710, you’ll be glad to know that it is now up for pre-order at the cool price of €270, or $375. Availability of the device will begin in Europe, then Asia, then the rest of the world by next year. Sorry North America, but Nokia’s priorities does not include the likes of you, and me.
