CES 2012: Nokia Is On The Prowl

The year 2011 turned out to be a bad year for Nokia, the company lost its spot at the top of the smartphone food chain to Apple and Samsung while struggling to catch up with its first set of Windows Phone devices, the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. However, 2012 could be the year the old dog rises from its slumber starting with a huge CES presence.
Nokia plans to announce something big at CES 2012, most likely a Windows Phone device, the Lumia 800 for the US market and a tablet with Windows 8 at the helm. The company hasn’t confirmed much about its CES presence, but it would be kick ass if the rumored Nokia Lumia 900 was announced, the Lumia 800 alone cannot cut it for the US market because the screen size is too small and it lacks a front facing camera, unless Nokia plans on adding one before launch.
To add more spice, Nokia should consider a 64GB version of all its high end Windows Phone devices, this talk about 16GB internal storage with 25GB online storage via SkyDrive is pure foolishness. Not everyone can afford that expensive 3G/4G bill.
