Probably some of you who own h6300 series iPAQs want to use Skype on their Pocket PC Phones. I have just tested one trick that makes it work perfectly.

How to make Skype works on HP iPAQ h6300 Series

So if you want to start using Skype on your series h6300 iPAQ You have to do the following steps:

1. MAKE A BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING!
2. If you do not already have the "Low CPU" version of Skype (for 312 Mhz PPCs) please download it and install it (you can get it here).
3. With the Skype program not on (shut down), open a registry tweaking/hacking tool. (You can use RegEdit which is a freeware program.)
4. In the iPaq's registry go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Skype\Phone\Audio\DisableCodecs
5. The value is normally blank but you want it to read: ILBC G729 EG711U
6. Save and exit the registry tool.

After doing this you need to boot up Skype and make a test call (calling Skype's Echo123 test call service no longer works because it relied on the codecs that you have just disabled but who cares because the test service was of little to no use anyway).

Skype can now be used for voice calls very well on the h6300 series (6315, 6340, etc)! You are still forced to use the iPaq's internal mic and speaker but you can also use the wired handsfree headset that came with your iPaq if you don't want to hold the iPaq to your head.
