Watching movies, even with subtitles, on Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices has never been easier! That's because of the one powerfull but free media player for Windows Mobile platform called TCPMP.
TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player) is an open-source media player for Palm OS - based and Windows CE / Windows Mobile - based devices and supports AVI, Matroska, MP4, Ogg Media and ASF formats. Now it has the power to play your videos with subtitles on your handheld.
To do that you just need to follow these steps:
1. download and install the official TCPMP 0.72RC1
2. add the ac3 plugin
3. add the betaplayer aac plugin
4. add the avc plugin
5. add smartlyric (to download this you need to open forum account at pxdxa.com)
and thats all with instaling your full featured TCPMP Player. There is indeed a subtitle plugin for TCPMP but it supports only .smi files, and because it is not quite time saving to rename all the subtitles from .sub or .srt to this i am giving you other solution. I strongly recommend embedding the subtitles to the movie during the conversion process. This will give you better performance during playback, and give you a bit more flexibility as to how your subtitles should look. For this purpose you can use PocketDivxEncode to convert movies and add subtitles to them like you can see on the screenshots.

TCPMP is also great for playing videos, tv serials or sport events you have recorded earlier....
