Symbian OS software developer Taneli Lepp has made available the PuTTY secure shell terminal software for Symbian UIQ3 platform.

PuTTY for Symbian UIQ3 is based on Petteri Kangaslampi's PuTTY for Symbian OS Version 1.4 beta 1.

PuTTY for Symbian UIQ3 works with following phones Sony Ericsson M600i, Sony Ericsson P990, Sony Ericsson W950i and supports the following features:

* SSH protocol version 1 and 2
* Terminal emulation, colors
* S2F -font support, comes with 4 different fonts
* Private key authentication using keys generated with PuTTYGen
* WLAN, 3G, GPRS connectivity
* Logging support for debugging

PuTTY for Symbian UIQ3 is available for free download at Symbian Freeware site.
