Transform your WM5 device to looks like WM6 Crossbow

After Microsoft officially announced Windows Mobile 6 Crossbow a proud member of the XDA-Developers community has created 5 steps walk thru on how to make your WM5 device looks like WM6 Crossbow, that includes changing the Welcome Screen image, Today screen theme, System sounds and notifications, Windows Media Player skin, Change Phone Pad, Speed Dial and Call History Button.


1. Change Welcome Screen : Welcome screen from crossbow, AKU 2 and AKU 3 are included in this archive.







How-to install
after download Unzip, copy Cab File to storage card and Install from Cab File, next time you softreset you will see the new welcome screen !



2.Change Today Theme to Crossbow theme:



Make your pocket pc or phone look just like having windows mobile crossbow with this today screen theme skin.
How-to install
After download Unzip, Copy Crossbow.tsk into My Documents


3.Change Windows Media Player Skin :

Unzip, Copy Crossbow and Vista Folder into Storage Card


INSTALLATION After download Unpack the ZIP archive and copy the folder with its content into \Program Files\Windows Media Player folder on your Windows Mobile handheld. Start Media Player and go to Menu->Options->Skins. Wait until MediaPlayer finds the skins you have on your handheld and use Next and Previous buttons to select the skin you have copied.


4.Change Phone Pad, Speed Dial and Call History Button ..

Before you change Phone Pad Skin You must have Default Phone Pad WM5 ..



In registry HKLM > Security > Phone > Skin
Change Enabled from 1 to 0
