O2 Germany has just released Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for the O2 Xda Orbit. The Xda Orbit is in-fact one quite nteresting Windows Mobile handheld with its small size, built-in GPS Receiver and its special joystick and wheel input controls. Now all of you who use this phone can just download, install and enjoy the new operating system.
Remember that ActiveSync must be installed on the PC used for the update. In order to accomplish the update, you need an active connection between PC and Xda over ActiveSync. Therefore the Xda must be connected with the PC during the entire update process switched on and by provided USB cable.
The Windows Mobile 6 Professional ROM is 52MB and can be downloaded via this link.

this upgrade is in german only - wouldn't update my xda orbit coz mine's not eligible... bloody microsoft screwing us again - allowing only certain batches to be upgraded - why all the secrecy - give everyone WM6 at the same time!! urgh!!! :(

i am haveing problems with the wm6 softer ie that the shortcuts dont work and the calander has a weeker display on the today screen ie that it only shows the apointments day by day and only one at a time, has anyone else noticed this

hey im having the same problem as Vilaxay, it says my S/N is invalid although i have an english XBA Orbit with WM5
problem solved! Make sure to use Internet explorer for the download, other browser wont accept the serial number. Another way that microsoft are being annoying.
It STILL doesn't work for me? Mine is HTxxxxxxxxxx (10 digits following the HT). Does that sound like it should be right?
Use IE browser to download the update ;) That will solve the problem. i bet your using firefox
