SPB Mobile Shell 2 is the newest User Interface by SPB Software House. The new UI is fully functional in one (1) tabbed window, has full screens for time and weather, animated transitions and also enables gesture use for navigation.

The user interface of SPB Mobile Shell v2.0 is outrageously simple to use, but it keeps its’ completely original style. It take the complete screen, while perfectly managing its’ space. When you start the program, you have four (4) touch buttons at the bottom of the screen, which take you to your four (4) most basic pages.

The first shows all of your needed pieces; your time, text messages, e-mails, and missed calls. Also, it keeps the weather, your service level, and your battery too. All is as large icons, and very simple to read. The only two icons on this page that do not expand are the battery and time, which solely acknowledge their respected values.

The second button is where all of the fun begins. Six (6) large icons are displayed, leading into your organization tools, Internet Explorer, Multimedia tools, actual tools, Programs, and Settings. Above these are your quick functions. 12 well placed, well sized, icons let you customize everything from the brightness of your screen (with two button presses!) to your File Explorer. Also, at this screen, you have your access button to all seven pages of your settings, including your 16 different color schemes (if you don’t like your own system colors, which are otherwise used as the theme).



Your third and final buttons are not as exciting, but very useful and almost unneeded, respectively. The third will take you to your photo speed dial. Your photo speed dial has your select 15 friends and their photo. With one (1) touch, you are dialing their numbers. On this screen you also have your contacts button, which will take you to all of your contacts. The final button takes you out of the program, and back to your main today screen.



When buying an actual user interface, it is important to know what it has to offer. SPB Mobile Shell v2.0 has more functionality than any other UI on the market. It operates quickly, has superb animation, is a small download, and delivers a balance of style and simplicity.
