How To Setup E-mail Account on Windows Mobile Pocket PC

In order to send and receive e-mail on Your windows mobile pocket pc the first thing needed is to setup a new email account. This can be somehow hard for the begginer users thing to do and this is reason to create this tiny guide and video showcase.

First take your device and on Today Screen tap Start and then choose Messaging. To create new email account you need to enter the New E-mail Account option and follow the steps below:

1. At the Setup screen enter your email address and tap on Next
2. On Your e-mail provider drop-down box choose Internet e-mail and tap Next
3. You name will probably be filled, but if it isn't do it. Account display name is the name which you will give to this email profile on your device. When you choose it go for the Next step.
4. Fill the address of your Incoming mail server in the appropriate field and below choose the type of the server - POP3 / IMAP, then tap on Next
5. Here you need to enter Your User name, which you use to access you E-mail, and the Password too. Next again.
6. On this screen you need to enter the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server you will use. If it requieres authentication mark the appropriate field and tap on Next when ready.
7. Now Setup process should be complete and the only thing left is to review the download setting among wchich are Automatic Send/Recieve, Message format and Download limit. When ready hit the Finish button and the client will connect and receive your email.
