T-Mobile have negociated long and hard with Nokia to go for that mobile content business Ovi is. That's of no surprise to anyone. Mobile content keeps lots of people occupied so why shouldn't any carrier be interested in getting some of that Ovi.
Nokia's portal Ovi will be offered through T-Mobile on certain Nokia handsets following their agreement. Apparently Nokia and T-Mobile have been at the negotiations' table for quite a while and faced a strong opposition from Hamid Akhaven, T-Mobile's CEO. Despite feeling somewhat threatened by Nokia entering the mobile content market, Mr. Akhaven is to have acknowledged that Ovi access will inevitably drive up data subscriptions. He said: "My life would be simpler if they would have not come to my space. It is still not the happiest thing to have someone try and take your cheese away."
What do you think of Ovi? Are they providing the mobile content? Would you raise your data plan for?
