Verizon Wireless has announced a new piece of downloadable software for standard commercial cell phones known as RemoSync which allows users of consumer non-pda phones to receive push email via a Microsoft Exchange Server. The product will open up new avenues for email while still allowing for traditional POP3 and WirelessSync email to be sent to a users cell phone.

There's even more good news. The synced device will also be able to access the outlook calendar and contacts information, making it a truly independent application for users who may not want to carry around a clunky PDA Device.

The application is downloadable from Verizon Wireless phones by LG, Motorola, and Samsung and can be downloaded through the Verizon Get It Now Application located on the device.

The cost of the software is $10 per month plus the cost of the downloadable data if you are not running Verizon's unlimited data plan.

On that note I would highly recommend using an unlimited data plan as outlook can eat up your bandwidth quickly and cost a small fortune to run.
