Freeware Review: Smartphone Homescreen Builder

I love using my HTC S620 Smartphone, partly because I can fly through Smartphone screens much faster than a Pocket PC Touchscreen, and because one handed navigation is set up for optimization on smartphones that run the Windows Mobile interface. Needless to say being able to further optimize such screens is an added bonus, and with Smortphone Homescreen Builder brings that bonus to the forefront of your Smartphone device.

The program works easily enough, users can create their own homescreen as the title would suggest, and they can do so using a simple WYSIWYG editor that works with both Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 6.0 operating systems.

The application works by giving users access to a variety of plugins that take the guess work out of XML programming. Basically you can choose to add an icon bar plugin and then choose the programs to launch, or perhaps you want a Time and Date plugin, another option readily available, or maybe you need MMS or SMS messaging, those are also available among several other popular options, and more options which can be purchased if you choose to pay for more flexibility.

The application also allows you to choose your screen resolution and allows you to drag and drop your chosen and optimized plugins directly into place.

Overall the application is easy to set up and extremely easy to use. The SMartphone Homescreen Builder gives you a sense of "owning" your own "personalized" screen with very little effort.
