BlackBerry devices has push email service for a long time and now it is time to announce that Nokia is pushing that service too. Nokia has launched a free push email service called simply Nokia Email that promises to bring push email to the Nokia using people.
To use it you just sign up over at the Nokia Email site and you will be sent a download link to the S60 3rd Edition app. The app runs on the E51, E61, E61i, E65, E66, E71, E90, N73, N80, N81 8GB and N95 handsets and can work with any POP3 or IMAP-capable email account.
The client integrates with your contacts list and can be scheduled to only poll your mail server during specific times - useful if you like to keep work to certain hours of the day. I will be glad to hear you thoughts of this new service from Nokia.

Nokia releases new Push Email Service
Nokia email sucks. I installed it and it crashed and continues to crash at random times. I removed it and went back to using the built in email client where the text messages are. It is much better, faster and easier to use. This email client must be something Nokia got from some company they took over, it is nothing like typical Nokia products. Faults: Random Crashes some shit about System -1 My E71 locks up sometimes When I change the theme on my phone the email client stays the same...sucks. It's not even push, just looks that way, it's the same thing as the FREE built in software that came with my E71. It costs money for this shitty client. Nokia must be ran by Americans these days their software is like an american car, flashy outside a royal piece of shit inside
Nokia email does not work on E90 device. Hard to believe Nokia is making such SHIT. Don't buy this software, it will only encourage them to sell us more shiza
i like it
I have installed the software on my E90 Communicator and it works ok. All i am worried about is that every time i refresh my emails all of my old emails just vanish. any advise?
I use E71 and Nokia Email works perfectly for my business email, yahoo mail and Gmail. Just need to add emails to the primary one you signed up with Nokia. You can add upto 6 emails I guess. Absolutely wonderful, I'm thoroughly pleased with it. Only thing we have to watch and see is what would be the charges for this once the beta is stopped.
i want bthis softwear for my nokia 6600 the nokia push message plz send me the settings via my email alvinceaser@yahoo.com
it's not able to setup the free yahoo mail. do i have to subscripe in yahoo plus? one of my friend get the free yahoo email working fine on E71 (smae my phone) any help
Mmm. Nokia Push e-mail.. So, HOW does this differ to the e-mail client which is already on my phone (N82). The client on my phone retrieves e-mail every hour, and I may exclude certain hours for it NOT to collect e-mails (23:59 - 06:00 for instance). I can see HTML in the mails I receive, and am able to receive and send files too. AND I can send from and retrieve to several e-mail accounts.. What's the difference? Cheers
want push email
it's not a true push email system as on blackberry platform, makes you keep connected alllllllll the time (draining all your bat) in order to get this fake push email and as kevin said above there's no difference between this system and the one built in on the phone (which personnaly I prefer)
