Jul 04 Access Your PC Remotely with Files on Ovi
Found in:Nokia, Ovi, Software,
Here’s an interesting beta application from Nokia’s Ovi. With Files on Ovi you will be able to browse your home PC remotely. You can preview certain files and photos and look exactly for that missing piece of the puzzle you accidentally forgot to upload on your memory stick. Just get your smartphone get it for you and don’t let your boss find any of it out.
Files on Ovi will act as a bridge between your PC and your smartphone. You can download files from your PC to your phone and vice versa. The whole deal is done through the Files on Ovi site. What’s even better is that Files on Ovi will access files on a turned off computer. How you ask? You get 10 GB of storage space when you sign up for Files on Ovi. That will let you simply upload any files to Ovi servers and access them at any time from your handset.
Files on Ovi will have other features too. Like sending files and sharing them to any other users. For now it comes in beta and it has only Windows support. It’s weird I know but I am sure Nokia will be working on that in the near future. Let us know how it works!
