Freeware: Nokia Chat For Symbian S60 Devices

Simple text chat messaging is a thing of the past, now messaging programs are evolving to create an almost Social networking feel to them, the newest edition to the Nokia S60 3rd Edition series is no exception, the Nokia Chat program brings instant messaging, voice chat, and geo-tagging to a new level.

After installing Nokia Chat and having several friends install the program I began using the freeware application as a simple instant messaging application, the program reminded me of the AIM chat functions, including the ability to set away messages such as "Not at my desk" in this case users type in their own messages which display on everyone's device.

If the program ended there it would be a simple application, however there is more, you can also select a friend to voice chat with, and if that isn't enough you can even share your location with friends via location based technologies.

I found the chat function exchanged messages on command with little to no delay, and the GPS function also worked very quickly and provided excellent location based information.

If you have alot of friends using Nokia devices with the Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS I would suggest you tell them to get this software, its really a way to stay ultra connected to everything in your close friends lives.
