Jul 13 Sprint Cancels SERO; Offers Everything Plus Plans

Sprint Employee Referral Offer or SERO has just been canceled by Sprint and replaced by the new Everything Plus Plan. This move, no necessarily a good one was rumored a few weeks ago and it seems to be a natural, for Sprint, upgrade in data plans.
With a SERO plan you would get 500 minutes and unlimited data for $30/month. That’s a great deal for all PDA and smartphones owners turning to Sprint. Well Sprint is going to offer them the Everything Plus plan, not necessarily a better offer than the SERO.
And while SERO was supposed to be an employee referral offer, consumers were able to get it without being actually referred by a Sprint employee. Now the Everything Plus will require a Sprint email address and an employee login’s ID in order to be activated. Furthermore Sprint has instructed employees to offer the Everything Plus to new customers only.
And while the SERO plan would have gotten you $40/month savings the new Everything Plus plan will only get you between $10 and $20/month savings. With the Everything Plus plan you will also get the Sprint Navigation included but the Phone As Modem option is reported to be unavailable.
It’s understandable that Sprint wants to make more money. But they should also offer better service for the price one has to pay.
