Here's a feast for our eyes. With all the Apple craziness it's quite pleasant to see others are working hard. I am talking about Research in Motion and their BlackBerry Thunder. The results of their work? I guess we can all spot them in this image.
The Thunder might be far from finished and it might also experience some serious bugs but I am sure RIM is working round the clock to eliminate them. From what we can see, the screen seems huge. The virtual keyboard fits perfectly and it will probably successfully replace the regular BlackBerry keyboard.
With the haptic feedback system supported by the new OS 4.7 you won't miss that touch feeling you get when pressing real buttons. There's the localized vibrating effect followed by a click-like sound. We don't know if that's working flawlessly yet but by the time the Thunder enters production all problems should be solved. There's multi-touch rumored so this berry is getting closer and closer to the iPhone. All it needs is a great marketing effort and some good looking and very useful applications.
