Nokia N78 Receives Second European Firmware Update. North American Version Ignored Again

Nokia today offered another firmware update for their popular Nokia N78 Symbian based handset. The firmware update available for the European version of the handset is now available for download. Unfortunately North American customers using the Nokia N78-3 North American version are left out in the cold on yet another update to the device.

The second European firmware upgrade on the European N78 offers several important upgrades which include improvements to the devices softkey selections, Bluetooth via stability fixes, video playback corrections, sending of email and the units alarm clock functions.

The biggest update is the fix to the right softkey which has been reported as thinking it was the end key, a big nuisance that has yet to be addressed on the North American version.

No release date has been set for the North American Firmware fixes. The updates to the European version are the second set of improvements in almost as many weeks.
