Pocket Informant Reaches Version 8.1

Just in case you were using any of the previous versions of Pocket Informant, you should know that WebIS has just released Pocket Informant 8.1. Upgrading from version 8.0 is free while upgrading from older version might require a payment. If you are a first time customer you will have to buy the full version for $29.95.

Pocket Informant is The Next Generation in Personal Daily Management program. What you need is a Windows Mobile Pocket PC or smartphone. Back in 2000, Pocket Informant was the first personal information management application for Windows Mobile and it has come a long way since.

With version 8.1 there are a few improvements worth mentioning:
• 12 Key Search for Pocket PC - this is like T9 for search
• Contacts rewritten so that it now is very fast
• Improved Events view with groupings and more options
• Improved Journal view with groupings and better view
• Improved Touch mode
• Major improvements to Smartphone all over the place
• SmartPhone now supports Linking
• Better one-handed usage
• Default Number (SmartNum) now editable in the editor
• A number of Template improvements
