Jul 20 Freeware: MobiChat For Symbian Operating Systems
Found in:Freeware, Symbian,
If your addicted to Instant Messaging then MobiChat may be the right program for you. MobiChat allows users to combine the use of MSN, Yahoo! and AIM programs into a one stop application that offers the usability of each offered application.
After my easy to activate install I began using not one, but two of the program, Yahoo! and AIM. That's right with MobiChat you can actually use more than one interface at a time. I particularly liked this option because I tend to talk to different friends on different applications. I found the program ran smoothly with no freezing even when holding multiple conversations across the different platforms.
Better yet, the application takes very little bandwidth, while this didn't effect my unlimited data plan, I can see where it would help limited data users, or help keep down roaming costs if you are outside your calling area.
The application also gives some nice added functionality to all platforms, for instance I was able to save my conversations with the built-in message archive program.
The application also allows for buddy adds and deleted from a user friendly UI. Basically if you have used, or even if you haven't used the messaging programs offered, you will find it very easy to get started.
Finally, I tested the picture messaging option. Simple take a picture and you can IM it for opening on your friends device. A very nice feature that adds personality beyond the included emoticons.
Overall a very competent program that installs easily, uses very little bandwidth or system resources, and offers full and fast support to the most popular IM programs.
One last tip, it won't always be free, so download it now and use it for free forever. This is a special offer for the applications debut.
