BubbleLevel Freeware Screenshot Normally I wouldn't write about such an odd application, but the BubbleLevel freeware application does something I like with applications, it exists to show off the functionality of a single hardware development effectively.

The BubbleLevel freeware program works with only the HTC Touch Diamond and takes advantage of the devices accelerometer to operate to its full extent.

The program was easy to install and used very little system resources. Here's how it works.

The program measures the slope of a surface using the same bubble leveler as found on a level used to determine angles in construction. The program will also display the slope of an angle in terms of degrees.

You can also measure the relative angle between surfaces if you choose to use the calibration function. The application can even be used upside down.

I actually tested the app against a real life hardware level and found the angles to be right on que with the real life leveler. The program works fast and while it may not be the most interesting application developed it does show off the rather powerful accelerometer on the HTC Touch Diamond.
