Verizon has been preparing for a while to launch their version of Visual Voicemail in order to compete against what AT&T and Apple's iPhone Visual Voicemail. Verizon is said to offer the service to quite a lot of smartphones out there with LG and Motorola being some of the rumored names.
The BlackBerry Thunder or the Storm is also rumored to receive this upgrade when it will be launched later this year. Don't get confused, The Thunder or the Storm are two names for the exact same device, the BlackBerry 9500. It only appears that different people around the web like to call them differently according to their sources.
With Visual Voicemail up and running, Verizon will let you check out visual voicemails, skip forward and backwards through them. Probably other features will be available once the service will be live. In the mean time we're going to have to wait for both the Thunder and the Visual Voicemail to see if they indeed mix together just fine.
