Dolch Sight Words v1.0 for Palm

If you’re trying to teach your kids certain words, with the Dolch Sight Words v1.0 application for Palm you will be able to do it while on the go too. As long as you own a Palm smartphone you can simply install this freeware application.

Dolch Sight Words works really simple. The interface shows a word for your kid to read. If s/he reads it correctly, pressing OK will get you to the next word. An incorrect read will make you press the Again button to have the word shown again after the list is completed.

The Dolch Word List is a frequently used list made by Edward William Dolch, PhD. The list was originally published in “Problems in Reading” in 1948 and it contains 220 words that should be easily recognized by your child while achieving reading fluency.

The words in the list are divided into grades but most of these words should pose no problem to most children passing the 1st grade. The Dolch words won’t be sounded out and have to be learned by sight.
