Nokia is ready for a bold move, and I am sure it can afford this one. The worldwide number one phone maker and seller will drop cell phone prices by up to 10%. That's very good news, especially for those choosing their music and media handsets. Apparently music and media oriented phones will be the first to have cheaper prices, but who are we to say high end handsets won't follow?
Is this a move to fight Sony Ericsson and their Walkman line? Is it a move to divert attention from the iPhone? Is this simply a move to get an even larger share of the market? Well we already know Sony Ericsson isn't doing all that well yet right now so Nokia's move comes at the right time. Talk about kicking a man when he's down.
Let's see what Nokia's market share will be after this quarter. Will Nokia sell even more phones?
