Is Apple up to an iPhone Nano?

We have to spy on the competition from time to time; you know just to keep an eye on how many million phones they manage to sell in three days or so. And it appears that this time Apple fans have a new rumor to deal with. Coming from the UK, the iPhone Nano is supposed to be an iPhone, only smaller, set to be manufactured by Christmas.

The rumor continues to say that the iPhone Nano will arrive from O2 for just about $300 and it will be bundled with pre-paid plans. There’s no official news from Apple yet. Does that mean this is yet another bad rumor? After all if it was true someone would have issued a formal denial.

With Apple struggling to manufacture as many iPhones as possible for the 40 countries that will receive the iPhone by the end of August it’s harder to think they are developing a new iPhone already. Especially since they have announced their intention of upgrading their already respected iPod and Mac lines. I’ll write to Santa just to make sure this is all a bad rumor.
