Android 0.9 Beta is Available Now With all the hype around the first Google phone to be released later this year, and I am talking about the confirmed Android device made by HTC for T-Mobile, an Android 0.9 beta isn't such a surprise. Slowly yet surely we are going to get near version 1.0 of Android.

This version will get rid of some of the bugs in previous versions. Besides that Android developers and users will notice new widget enhanced home screen, a tab for getting your applications up and running, a camera and a media player. Not to bad for beta version 0.9.

The next version we're waiting for is Android 1.0 which probably will pack the HTC Dream. Further changes are expected to be small but who knows exactly what version 1.0 will bring. A word of advice for developers, watch out what you are currently developing! Certain applications for Android 0.9 beta might not fully work on the final OS release.
