Freeware: S2P For Windows Mobile Devices

As a self proclaimed Audiophile I'm pretty sure I have tested almost every major music player to hit the market. While some players offer great support, its always been simplicity that I have personally searched for, and that simplicity is definitely found when using S2P a freeware media player that offers excellent support features for the lightest and heaviest multimedia users.

In order to use S2P users will first need either Windows Mobile 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional as well as 3MB of free RAM and a QVGA screen for proper displaying of menu items. The unit also supports file transfers and support for PC, Mac, and Device access. The unit also installed easily with a one click setup thanks to an easy to access .CAB file.

I personally like that all of my major files were supported, including MP3's, AAC, AAC+ and WMA files.

The Menu's on S2P were also well laid out on my HTC TyTn II device. However I did find that CPU usage was atrocious, using almost 3/4th's of my device available resources.

The program also doesn't support streaming music which was a real pain.

However the screens are easy to access, playlists are easy to create, and the unit even allows for battery saving capabilities by limiting the screen output features.

Not to mention its easy to minimize the program using on screen options, and the program displays album art easily on QVGA based screens.

Finally I liked that the program was so option intensive, I could go back to the last song, press any file to play it with one touch, and I found the browsing features with Artists, Albums, Genres, etc. to match the likes of the iPhone with screens that match the usability of the units.

Overall a very capable music device that offers easy installation, quick intuitive screens, and great organization, if you have a more powerful device that won't eat up system resources I would highly recommend S2P
