WalkingHotSpot for Windows Mobile

With modern handsets we see fast data speed. No matter the carrier or the country, everyone is building their HSDPA, CDMA, EVDO or future LTE network in order to offer better quality phone calls and data to their subscribers. So why not use this in our favor? If we happen to have a smartphone, a phone that can have other applications installed and run on, and more importantly a phone that has access to 3-3.5G speeds, why not turn it into a WiFi spot for our larger smarter device, the laptop or the desktop?

WalkingHotSpot is the Windows application that you need in order to create your personal hot spot. Unfortunately the program is made for Windows Mobile 6.0 for now but I am pretty sure we're going to see an update soon.

You might have heard about the concept of "tethering your phone". That's exactly what WalkingHotSpot will do for you. Beware though, some carriers won't allow such practices so you might get in trouble if caught sharing your 3G connectivity.
