Sep 24 Skyfire Beta for Windows Mobile and Symbian S60
Found in:Windows Mobile, Freeware, Smartphones, Symbian, S60,
While we are waiting for the 2010 version of the mobile version of Mozilla Firefox, we might try other things. Such a replacement could be Skyfire which is in beta right now. It’s a mobile browser which will work on Windows Mobile handsets and newer Symbian S60.
The mobile browser is said to offer the same experience a PC version would. We should be able to go online and visit any sites, watch videos and listen to music, network with our virtual friends and play games. It all sounds good but I’d like to actually try the beta first. Skyfire is said to load fast but I think you’d better try it on a 3G device or when near a WiFi spot. The browser will let you browse through full web pages or it will serve you the mobile version. You choose. The sky is not the limit!
The application should come free of charge. Here’s a link for singing up for the beta. Tell us what you think about it.

Skyfire is as advertised. A great browser that rivals Safari inmy opinion. It's the best thing for Window Mobile in the last 10 years.
Great piece of Beta work. It already rivals Opera and mIE. I am able to browse ALL websites! Including my corporate https sites!! A must have for Windows Mobile users

While Skyfire is trying to improve, you may check out Opera Mini and Opera Mobile (WinMobile). They are the fastest, most widely available mobile browsers. (Note that you can sync your Opera desktop bookmarks (from Windows, Mac, and Linux) with Opera Mini on your phone....cool!)
