Photon, if it commercially comes in any way close to what we saw, will definitely rock in your palm and pocket and will finally merge the Pocket PC and Smartphone platform into one single platform: Windows Mobile.
However, we are still years away from the commercial release and I'm sure many things will change from what we've seen today and therefore even more interesting, then seeing a sneak-preview, was the way and explanations how the team is working on such a development and the scenarios they have in mind.

Today, at Microsoft's invitation-only conference Möbius, the software giant gave us a sneak preview into the next possible Windows Mobile version code named "Photon".
While Möbius - in general - isn't a NDA-thing, we've been asked not to post any details about what we've seen which I respect for sure and what - for what I want to thank Microsoft for to share with us anyway!
