It's finally here, the Nokia 5800 XpressMuisc phone has been launched by Nokia today. It's the first touchscreen phone coming from the Finnish manufacturer and hopefully others are to follow. Who said Symbian can do touchscreens?
The phone is not the high-end phone you might expect. Instead it's a music phone which comes with Comes with Music support and more. The phone has some 8GB of memory and 3.5 mm jack which will surely be needed for all that music you're about to download. The LCD is a widescreen display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It supports 30 fps vide playback and the phone is able to record VGA videos with its 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics.
The 5800 comes wits Symbian OS 9.5 S60 5th edition and it offers WLAN and 3G, A-GPS, an accelerometer and proximity sensor. The price for all these specs is 279 Euro or $385 before taxes and subsidies.
So would you get the first Nokia touchscreen phone?
